Volunteer Contribution: Individual vs. Piano Village Foundation (PVF) Hours

While contributing your talents and skills to your community or friends benefits personal growth, individual actions do not count toward official PVF volunteer service hours. To have your volunteer hours recognized by PVF, you must follow the specific guidelines outlined below.

PVF Volunteer Hours Guidelines:

  1. Notify the PVF Manager
Send an email to the manager to inform them about the project or event you intend to conduct. This communication ensures your work is coordinated with PVF’s goals.
  2. Use Official Branding
Ensure your event or project flyer includes the Piano Village logo and contact information. Your individual contact information should not be featured on official materials.
  3. Submit a Post-Project Report

Once you have completed your project, follow these steps to submit a detailed report for official recognition of your PVF volunteer hours:

  • Work Hours
Record the total number of hours you dedicated to the project. Be specific about the time spent on different tasks if relevant.
  • Results and Contributions
Outline what was achieved during the project. Include key contributions you made, such as any special skills or efforts that added value to the initiative.
  • Outcome
Describe the final results of your project. Did you meet the goals set out at the start? Include any measurable outcomes, such as event attendance, funds raised, or community impact.
  • Influence
Reflect on how your project influenced others. Consider its impact on the community, PVF, or any individuals involved. If the project raised awareness, supported local causes, or had lasting benefits, mention those details.

By following these guidelines, your efforts will be documented and counted toward your official Piano Village Foundation volunteer service hours.
